The Players League Weekly Player Awards 6/16 - 6/22

The Players League (TPL) is loaded with talent, and this week’s award winners proved just how high the bar can be set. One dominated at the plate with unmatched consistency, while the other overwhelmed hitters with pure power on the mound.

🏆 Player of the Week: Zach Syvertson

Team: South Portland Puffins 🐧
College: University of Charleston

Zach Syvertson put together one of the most complete offensive weeks we’ve seen this season. Across five games, Syvertson went a blistering 8-for-13, good for a .615 batting average, .643 OBP, and 1.258 OPS. He reached base nearly every time he stepped in the box, adding 3 runs, 1 RBI, 2 stolen bases, and a walk — and he did it all without a single strikeout.

A true table-setter and spark plug for the Puffins, Syvertson’s mix of speed, contact, and discipline made him a nightmare for opposing pitchers all week long.

🔥 Pitcher of the Week: Bryce Hubbard

Team: Sandhills Bogeys 🌲
College: University of North Georgia

On the hill, Bryce Hubbard was untouchable. The Sandhills ace delivered 9.1 dominant innings, striking out 16 batters and earning a win while keeping runs off the board. His pinpoint command and swing-and-miss stuff baffled hitters, showing why he’s one of the most dangerous arms in the league.

With a heavy fastball and elite strikeout ability, Hubbard proved once again that when he’s locked in, few can keep up.

These two stars didn’t just have great weeks — they made statements. With players like Syvertson and Hubbard leading the charge, the TPL is must-watch baseball all summer long.
