THE LEAGUE OF LEAGUES
In 1890, the best players in baseball walked out. They were tired of a system that capped their pay and bound them to one club for life, so they organized, took ownership stakes, and started a league of their own. It lasted a single season.
The Players League takes that name on purpose. We're six summer collegiate leagues across six states — 50 teams, roughly 2,000 players every summer — operating under one organization with one idea behind it: the player comes first.
For players. A summer in a TPL league means forty games of wood-bat baseball against college competition, with games streamed on Foul Pole and full stats kept through the season. Players who need housing are placed with host families in the community at no cost. Six TPL alumni were selected in the 2026 MLB Draft.
For coaches and staff. Our leagues hire coaches, interns, and broadcasters each summer. It's where people who want a career in this game get their first real one. For openings, please reach out to Landon Deese at ldeese@theplayersleague.us.
